Here are a selection of answers to some of the most common questions that we get asked. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for more information and advice.

You need to have lived in Chippenham within the Parish boundary for the last 2 years or more to be eligible to apply for a grant from us.
We can accept grant applications from not-for-profit groups and organisations providing that the project or request for funding will benefit Chippenham residents. It is helpful to include information about the number of Chippenham people that will benefit from the award.

Yes – although we can’t guarantee that we will you every year and we don’t want people to rely on our funding.

Our individual grants tend not to be given out annually but there are specific occasions and exceptional circumstances when you could apply for more than one grant in two years. Please contact the office for more detail.

We do not as a rule fund salaries except the proportion related to the delivery of the project. Organisations must adhere to the relevant law on employment equality when appointing employees and volunteers.
Yes we can support individuals with course costs but we are unable to support first degrees.
Yes we do – please contact us for more information on this. Once you have spoken to us to get key advice and information from our Welfare Advisor we will ask you to complete an application form and you will need to get a supporting letter from your doctor. It is important that you do contact us before completing any paperwork please. During the processing of your application we may also ask that you attend an Occupational Therapy assessment at the Independent Living Centre, Semington. They are a charity organisation who offer impartial advice to older and disabled people, helping to find practical solutions for easier living. You can visit them and get an assessment from them with or without our involvement.
